From the SECOND you are in the presence of Joanna and Travis, you will know their love is something special.

Meeting through mutual friends in Vancouver BC, Joanna and Travis they began dating and soon realized this was the person God had planned for them. Sharing such an honest love for the Lord, they began a beautiful love story grounded in their faith.

When Joanna reached out to me initially, she shared with me a video of their engagement on the coast of Oregon this January.  My whole heart shivers at the very thought, but they endured the freezing cold to make a short video sharing what they love most about each other. 

I watched as each of them shared a heart full of gratitude for the other, followed by the sweetest giggles and smiles.  Honestly I don’t think I’ve ever seen two people look at each other more smitten with one another.

And as the waves came crashing in Travis bravely dropped to one knee and asked his best friend to marry him.

Planning a wedding long distance, Joanna has been sharing her love for teaching in Canada, while Travis works as a nurse in a Kansas prison. So when they planned a trip to Colorado before their big day, we jumped at the chance to spend some time with them taking engagement photos.

We really value this time with our couples, getting to know them before the wedding day has become one of our favorite parts of the BGP Couple Experience. And sharing an evening with Joanna and Travis was no exception. Their joy is just infectious!

Both of them devoting their lives to sharing God’s love with the world. It came as no surprise when Joanna brought her fiancé an early Valentines gift; a notebook filled with 100 reasons she loved him. Snuggling on a mountain top, the two read through the list and spent time praying together.

The views from the top of Lookout Mountain are next to none. And while it was absolutely freezing, these two were troopers; even taking a moment to create a Save The Date to share with their guests.

We are so excited to share in Joanna and Travis’ joy, during their Evergreen Wedding this April. And we can’t wait to see the look on their faces when they see each other for the first time!
