Romantic Ballroom Wedding with Fall Boho Charm

We love getting to meet new couples, especially when we discover we share mutual friends AND a love for theater!

We first met Lindsey and Chris through our mutual connections at the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse where Jeremy and I worked for many years.

After getting to know them during their downtown Greeley engagement session, we knew we found our people! Anytime we can wrap up a session with tacos, quesadillas, and margs, we know we’re working with kindred spirits!

Their wedding day began with everyone getting ready at Magical Moments in Greeley. This beautifully styled space had individual prep stations set up for the entire wedding party to get ready. Best part? All the mimosas they could drink!

Susanna Ballenski made sure Lindsey looked incredible for her big day, perfectly styling her gorgeous hair and makeup.  We’ve had the pleasure of serving many brides alongside Susanna this season, and not only is she a wonderfully kind spirit to have in the room, but her work is always flawless.

Just across the street from Magical Moments was the perfect place to capture so many of the special moments that followed everyone getting ready.  Lindsey’s first look with her dad was so very special as she prepared to see her groom for the first time. Cue the happy tears!

The ceremony took place in the ballroom of the Doubletree Greeley at Lincoln Park. And I must say, this ballroom was stunning. No crazy colored carpet, just nice elegant decor with beautiful chandeliers. We loved the runway-style seating where guests could watch everything from the long banquet tables running alongside the aisle. There was simply not a bad seat in the house!

Jeremy (yes, our Jeremy!) had the honor of officiating the ceremony, and he did such a great job of retelling this sweet couple’s love story. Lindsey shared vows with her new daughters, as well as presented them with a unity puzzle signifying the blending of this beautiful family.

The entire day was brilliantly organized by Samantha Jo Staggs. She made sure to coordinate every last detail so that Lindsey and Chris’ guests had a fantastic time and could focus on celebrating!

And what a celebration it was! Vibrant florals by Amanda Dunn were an absolute highlight! Romantic boho-style decor cascaded down the tables creating a stunning display of rich, warm colors. The fabulous macaron desserts were created by the talented Meri Macarons. SO delicious!

We took full advantage of the gorgeous urban architecture of downtown Greeley and captured all the portraits before the ceremony began, but that didn’t stop us from taking some great moody images by the fire in the lobby afterwards!

Mikeal MacBeth kept the dance floor rocking! It was so fun to see dancers from Lindsey’s theater connections as well as the couples’ close friends totally embrace the western style!

The evening ended with a cascade of bubbles on the dance floor, and the couple shared a last dance surrounded by their friends and family. When they wrapped things up with some delicious late night pizza, it further confirmed what we suspected – these are our people! Congrats Lindsey and Chris! We wish you all the best!
