This summer destination wedding in Colorado at Spruce Mountain Ranch, brought guests from all over the world, including Brazil for a whimsical mountain wedding.

Summer weddings in Larkspur, Colorado are becoming more and more popular as couples look to take advantage of the beautiful weather and scenery that the season has to offer. Spruce Mountain Ranch is the perfect summer wedding destination, especially for those traveling from out of state.

Jeremy and I have been looking forward to this day for awhile now. After getting to adventure around New York City for Savannah and Johnny’s engagement last August, we couldn’t wait to make more memories with the two of them.

Savannah is such an extraordinary beauty, both inside and out. Everyone was anxious to see her step out in her dream wedding gown. But till it was time to get dressed, she and her best friends began the day getting ready in the charming Ruby’s Cottage at Spruce Mountain’s Lower Ranch.

With the help of the talented artists of A Day on Location Beauty, they ensured this bride looked exactly the way she felt. Rocking some extra special robes, created for each bridesmaid by the bride; the bridesmaids toasted with drinks as laughs just kept flowing.

The groom and his groomsmen relaxed in the Cigar Bar, enjoying sports on the big screen and a game of pool to pass the time. The afternoon was made extra special for Johnny, getting to spend some time with his family who flew in from Brazil for this special day.

Owned by Johnny’s parents, Oswaldo Moscon Joalheiro, had so many beautiful pieces gifted to the couple for their wedding day, including the bride’s necklace and earrings, the groom’s cufflinks, button covers and watch. But the really special piece, was the couple’s gold wedding bands.

Now while there were so many special touches for this beautiful day, none were more of a star than Savannah and Johnny’s dog, Toby. This very special guest wore a handsome tuxedo, and had the role of ring bearer.

The Mountainside ceremony site was the setting these two had been dreaming of … until the forecast called for a thunderstorm at the exact time it was to start. While most couples would have panicked, they took it in stride and made the tough decision to move the ceremony under the canopy of tall trees of Grace’s Chapel.

Exiting the ceremony, Savannah and Johnny made their way to a gorgeous classic car, that gave us all the romantic 1950’s wedding vibes.

After enjoying some cocktails and time for just the two of them, Savannah and Johnny gathered with their wedding party for their epic entrance. Everyone was cheering and rolling with laughter as they strolled into cocktail hour to the classic “Feelin’ Good.” Finding themselves in the middle of the crowd, their wedding party tossed them a beer, which they both shot-gunned to everyone’s surprise.

But that wasn’t the couple’s only surprise. Johnny and Savannah stunned their guests with a gorgeously choreographed first dance.

Ready for the delicious meal provided by Biscuits and Berries, guests were treated to a carving station reminiscent of a Brazilian steakhouse. Finishing off the evening with a buffet of bite size desserts, including a chocolate hazelnut creme brûlée’s, salted caramel tarts, berries and cream pound cake shots and so much more.

The wedding was a gathering of the most important people to Savannah and Johnny. A destination wedding that brought guests from all across the country and beyond, to experience the beauty of the Colorado mountains.

Savannah and Johnny, we have had the best time sharing this season with you. Thank you for trusting us and welcoming us your lives. We’ll never forget our time sharing a slice of New York City pizza and beer!
