A dream wedding day, exchanging vows in the field overlooking the Rocky Mountains, enjoying cocktails in the courtyard with a beverage burro delivering drinks, and a candlelit reception with a variety of food stations with all your favorite take-out foods, elevated by professional chefs. And don’t forget a dance party that rivals even the most epic of dance clubs.

No, it’s not a dream. This was Sarah and Brode’s amazing wedding day at Crooked Willow Farm.

Have you ever dreamed of getting married in a rustic barn overlooking the Rocky Mountains? How about exchanging your vows in a sun-drenched meadow with the Colorado peaks as your backdrop? If so, then Crooked Willow Farm is the perfect venue for you! This beautiful property is located in Larkspur, and offers the perfect backdrop for your big day.

Sarah began the day getting ready in the Bridal Suite with her sweet friends. Enjoying a lavish array of charcuterie and appetizers, waiting for the moment Sarah would finally get in her dress. We popped some champagne and celebrated what was to come, as each girl shared how they met the bride.

Meanwhile, Brode and his groomsmen kicked back in the Groom’s Lounge and Cigar Room. With the big screen playing sports in the background, these guys sipped on whiskey and toasted to Brode’s future. It was a relaxing and perfect start to the day for these guys.

After Sarah and Brode were ready, they shared letter’s with each other, with tales of when they first met and hopes for their future’s together. It was the perfect heart-check to lead the two of them into their intimate first look.

With chances of rain high and the sprinkles coming and going in waves throughout the afternoon, it was when we arrived at the first look, that suddenly the clouds cleared and the sun began peeking through. Complete joy overcame these two as they knew they could move forward with their ceremony outdoors.

Amy and Mary, of Cloud 9, are experienced wedding planners who will help make your day perfect down to the last detail. These two along side the amazing team at Crooked Willows brought together all of Sarah’s plans and idea’s to create her dream wedding.

Footer’s Catering was a highlight for guests, as they wandered around from station to station, enjoying stir fry, sliders and short rib plates. With adorable baskets of french fries in hand, guests were wow’d by the unique experience.

And after some impressive dancing all night long, Footer’s came out again, with the best of late night snacks, Mac n cheese. Now while Sarah and Brode opted out of cutting cake and smashing it in each other’s faces, they did feed each other Mac n cheese with a hot Cheeto’s crunched on top.

I’m fairly certain this party could have gone all night long, but as the clock struck 11:00pm the guests made their way out to the courtyard, glow wands in hand, as Sarah and Brode shared a private dance on an empty dance floor.

Tears filled their eyes as they looked around the room that once held all their friends and family. The day was done, and the reality of what they’d experienced slowly hit them. Already consumed with memory bank of moments, that went by way too fast. Something special happens when you slow time down and reflect on the beautiful day. It was all worth it.

Sarah and Brode, I’m overwhelmed with love for the two of you. Having met you all those years ago taking your headshots, and now here we are, at your wedding. The love you have for each other is so evident and I love knowing that we got to be a small part of your journey. We look forward to sharing more milestones with you.
