As the vibrant leaves fell all around, we found ourselves overcome by God’s beauty at this perfect fall wedding. There, on the hillside of Brittany Hill, Cassidy and Andrew shared the most beautiful vows and became husband and wife as the sun set slowly behind the mountains and the city lights of Denver were all aglow. There’s truly not a better view in Denver and we got to experience all that Colorado goodness.
Going into this wedding day, I already knew it would be filled with emotion. Cassidy is an incredibly thoughtful bride and she took such joy in making each moment count. From her grandmother’s crocheted butterflies on top of her head, right down to her custom white chucks, no detail was missed.
She began the day surrounded by her closest friends and family, enjoying every second of the getting ready process. Her mom and sister beamed with joy and tears in their eyes as they helped Cassidy into her Madi Lane dress. This elegant gown couldn’t have been more perfect for her.
And as Cassidy prepared her heart to meet her groom, she first shared a precious moment with her dad, taking time to let him know how grateful she was for him. These are the moments that can slip through your fingers if you aren’t intentional from the start.
After sharing a very emotional first look with Andrew, Cassidy surprised her groom with a tiny charm to wear on his boutonniere. The charm was a photo of Andrew’s dad who had passed away and an important reminder that he was there with Andrew that day.
Brittany Hill is a unique venue in that it sits on a hill, with little to no flat surfaces for portraits outside. So depending on the time of year, it can be a bit of a quest to find ideal locations that don’t look like a parking lot or have a huge incline. But with the falling leaves creating a beautiful blanket along the ground, giving us the perfect spot onsite with that warm fall glow.
In November it’s actually kind of incredible that Cassidy and Andrew’s ceremony was able to take place outside on the deck. With warm temperatures and the sun setting behind the mountains, the ceremony was truly breathtaking. Looking to the south, you’d see the twinkle of city lights from downtown, then off to the west was the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.
The entire day was perfection, and we couldn’t have felt more at home with these two amazing families. Dancing to the very end, the floor was always full and the laughter never stopped.
As the guests lined up outside for the bride and groom’s exit, Cassidy and Andrew shared a romantic last dance surrounded by the empty tables of their loved ones. So many beautiful memories were made that day, and each empty seat represented someone who meant the world to these two. Such a great moment of reflection.
Congrats Cassidy and Andrew. You two have stolen our hearts and we’ve loved every moment we’ve gotten to spend with you. From our chilly engagement session at Bear Lake, to the fond memories of your wedding day, we’re so lucky to know you both. Sending you all our love on this next adventure!
