Tapestry House Winter Wedding in Fort Collins

December in Colorado can be one of the most beautiful times of the year. And although this year we were missing the snow, Lindsey and Jason were able to enjoy a delightfully warm wedding day outside at the Tapestry House in Fort Collins. Snow or no snow, this is one winter wedding we we’ll never forget.

Lindsey is one of the sweetest and most caring bride’s. And with her thoughtful sister right by her side, the two of them created a very memorable celebration from beginning to end.

Destination weddings can be so much fun to plan for your out of town guests. And with the added joy of the holiday season, Colorado is obviously a great location for a unique winter experience.

Now I might be a bit biased, but I also happen to think that Fort Collins and Northern Colorado are amongst the best locations to visit during the holidays. With the stunning twinkle lights in the tree’s of Old Town Fort Collins and the plethora of outdoor activities right at your fingertips; guests are just a short walk to the many restaurants and entertainment opportunities.

Bringing that same winter magic to the Tapestry House, Lindsey and Jason’s wedding was the picture of elegance and hospitality. I began with capturing the gorgeous bridal details and heirlooms they planned to carry, which set the tone for the day so beautifully.

Jeremy and I care deeply that our couples get to experience a wedding day that allows them to slow down and be present; from getting ready for the day to the last dance of the night. And the team at the Tapestry House echoed that same sentiment, making sure that our couple was well taken care of that day.

The moment the couple arrived, the venue had drinks delivered to the getting ready suites and made sure every detail was exactly where it needed to be for the ceremony and reception. By taking on all of the wedding day preparations, Lindsey and Jason were able to really enjoy time getting ready with their friends and family.

After a sweet back to back letter reading, Lindsey and Jason shared an intimate first look, followed by romantic bride and groom portraits on the grounds.

One thing about winter weddings that all couples need to consider, is how early the sun sets this time of year. So if couples are hoping for natural light portraits outdoors, chances are they’ll need to have the majority of those photos taken prior to the ceremony.

Another memorable detail of the day, was the coziness of the ceremony site. As guests gathered at the outdoor location, they were met with warm blankets, provided by the Tapestry House.

During this very romantic ceremony, the skies were warm with the glow of sunset peeping through the tall pine trees. And the cutest ring bearer strolled down the aisle with rings and hand warmers for the couple. While there was a slight chill in the air, you’d never know it was December.

After the ceremony, the couple were escorted inside and handed glasses of champagne to toast their union, followed by a tray of appetizers for them to enjoy before the day ran forward.

And of course Lindsay and Jason were able to participate in the long standing tradition of laying a custom brick into the pathway of the grounds. This sweet tradition makes my nostalgic heart explode, knowing that couples can forever come and revisit their day, seeing their brick as a reminder of the vows they exchanged.

Lindsay and Jason’s florals were absolutely stunning, but I’m a bit of a sucker for the white anemone’s delicate petals and dramatic “black eye” centers. Bliss Wedding Florist brought the couples navy blue and silver wedding colors into the bouquets with such elegance and emulated the winter wedding theme beautifully.

One of my favorite details of the wedding, was the custom Christmas Ornaments Lindsey and Jason created for each guest. And amongst all of the names of guests, was a special ornament that the couple had made just for us.

It was truly a wonderful wedding, filled with so many memorable moments. Lindsey and Jason, we’re so glad you opened up your day to us and allowed us to capture your wedding story. And THANK YOU for including us in your Christmas Ornaments. Such a sweet gift that we will treasure forever.

Congrats again Mr. and Mrs. Carter!
