We’re still floating from the pure joy we experienced at Hannah and Caleb’s traditional church wedding in Greeley, Colorado. This particular wedding was extra special for us because this couple is so very dear to our hearts.
We’ve had the privilege of watching Hannah and her siblings grow up over the years. In fact, when her sister Katie got married a couple of years ago, we had the honor of photographing her wedding day as well! So we were absolutely delighted to spend this time with Hannah and Caleb on their special day.
It was a beautiful summer day in Greeley. A few rain storms popped up here and there, but we hardly noticed as we spent most of the day indoors. The ceremony was held at Bethel Baptist, the church Hannah grew up attending.
Hannah was absolutely radiant in her stunning Essense of Australia dress from Dora Grace. The sheer silhouette of lace fit her perfectly with its dreamy boho design. The girls were simply adorable in their matching blush robes, and it was so fun to see their reaction as Hannah stepped into her gown. Jaws were on the floor and tears were flowing … a few squeals may have even slipped out.
It was so special to see Katie, a now married woman herself, take her sister under her wing and guide her through the wedding planning process. It made my heart so happy to see that she even shared her veil with Hannah, adding the most special touch to her wedding day attire.
Hannah’s first look with her dad took place in the aisle of the church. It was such a sweet, emotional moment as they took time to enjoy a long hug, letting themselves absorb all the emotions of the day. It truly set the tone as Hannah’s mom and sisters stood by watching while their eyes brimmed with tears.
As the ceremony began, I couldn’t help but notice how stunning Bethel Baptist’s sanctuary is. With its wood-carved ceilings and traditional aisle, it was the absolute perfect backdrop for Hannah and Caleb to exchange their vows.
After taking communion, the couple led everyone in worship by singing Amazing Grace. Words can’t describe how incredibly musically gifted these two are! Hannah leads worship, while Caleb is a spectacular drummer. I can’t think of a better way to begin life as a couple than to step into the first moments of their marriage by worshiping God.
After the ceremony, we had the most fun celebrating with the full wedding party! This amazing group kept the entire day light and fun, donning heart-shaped sunglasses and wild socks printed with stars and stripes.
We whisked the bride and groom away to a nearby park for some romantic portraits before making our way to the reception venue at Zoe’s Cafe.
We mentioned that Hannah and Caleb are talented musicians, but their skills don’t end there! They both happen to be incredible dancers as well, so it was no surprise that their first dance was fully choreographed to the song “Photograph” by Cody Fry. It felt like we were all watching a beautiful cinematic moment from an old musical. It was seriously a scene straight out of La La Land!
During their emotional daddy-daughter dance, Hannah spun around the dance floor with her dad to the song “You’re Gonna Miss This” by Trace Adkins. I can’t express how deeply the words struck our hearts as we watched this daddy’s girl reflect on the thousands of moments she shared with her dad over the years. By this point I was a blubbering mess!
And if that wasn’t enough, Caleb then shared a dance with his mom to the song “A Mother Like You” by JJ Heller. Just seeing the admiration, gratitude, and love Caleb had for his mom melted me as I looked across the dance floor to see my hubby Jeremy sharing the same tear-filled emotions. No twirls or dips. It was just a tender mother-son dance that felt like a lullaby as they rocked back and forth, fully taking in the meaning of the song and sharing the quiet moment together.
I can’t put into words how much we love and adore this family. We are so honored to be a part of their many memories. Hannah and Caleb, you have our hearts! We pray for a lifetime of love and happiness together!
