Summer Micro Wedding in Estes Park

Micro weddings are becoming more and more popular, and we are here for it! Kristin and Chad’s beautiful wedding in Estes Park was the perfect example of how truly wonderful a micro wedding can be. If you’re considering an alternative to an elopement, an intimate celebration with a few family and close friends may be exactly what you’re looking for!!

So what is a micro wedding, anyway?

Take a full-blown traditional wedding…and shrink it! Don’t let the term “micro” throw you off. A micro wedding is simply a smaller, more intimate experience for the bride and groom and their loved ones. They offer the same joyful experience as a typical wedding, just on a much smaller scale.

What’s the difference between a micro wedding and eloping?

The biggest difference is the number of guests in attendance. Elopements are a private ceremony for just the bride and groom, with only a witness or two. A micro wedding typically has fewer than 50 guests. This is a fantastic alternative to a courthouse wedding, because couples can still celebrate with friends and family in a beautiful location. If you’re struggling to keep that guest count low, a destination wedding may be perfect for you!

Why choose a micro wedding?

For many couples, the cost is a huge factor when considering the type of wedding they’d like to have. Micro weddings allow couples to enjoy all of the traditions that make a wedding so special, but on a much smaller scale. That incredible caterer you’ve been dreaming of working with or the flowers that make you swoon can all be yours when you limit your guest count!  Choosing a micro wedding leaves more room to splurge on all those dreamy details.

What kind of venue do you use?

Get creative and think outside the box when it comes to your venue! Let your imagination take over as you consider all the incredible possibilities. You might choose your favorite restaurant or a stunning patio with a gorgeous overlook. What about a cozy cafe, or even an art gallery!? Because you’ll have a smaller guest count, there are endless creative options when selecting the perfect venue.

Did someone say destination wedding?

A micro wedding is the perfect opportunity for that destination wedding you’ve always dreamed of! Because your guest list is small, it’s not only more affordable, but more practical for guests from all over to come and help you celebrate at the perfect destination!

One of our favorite micro wedding destinations

Estes Park is an ideal location for a micro wedding. Located just 90 minutes outside of Denver, this is a popular destination for many couples. You will have no trouble finding a stunning location for your ceremony, because Estes is surrounded by the gorgeous Rocky Mountains. Views for days! Some of our favorites include ceremonies in Rocky Mountain National Park, the overlook at Black Canyon Inn, The Landing at Estes Park, and Della Terra Mountain Chateau

Make it personal

Micro weddings are perfect for couples who want to invest in what matters to them most: the relationships and the memories. This gives you the perfect opportunity to create a unique experience for your guests. Maybe splurge on a quirky food truck, or create signature bride and groom drinks with Peak Bev that your closest friends and family will appreciate! Throw a welcome party the night before, or have brunch with everyone the day after. Custom gifts are always a fun surprise, too!

How much coverage is a micro wedding?

You can expect plenty of guidance and direction from us as your photographer and videographer. With our Micro Wedding Collection starting at 4 hours of coverage, we’ll be sure to capture portraits, the ceremony, and some of the fun at your stunning dinner.  With a micro wedding, we’ll still provide the quality photographs and video footage our BGP couples have come to expect.

Added Bonus: It means there’s more portrait time and less stress worrying about taking time away from entertaining your guests. If getting romantic portraits on a mountaintop is important to you, a smaller wedding is the perfect choice.

Relax and enjoy your special day

Micro weddings can be just as formal as traditional weddings! Have that romantic first dance. Experience an intimate candlelit dinner with your guests. Enjoy hearing heartfelt toasts from your bridesmaids and groomsmen. You can be sure this celebration will still provide plenty of memorable moments to last a lifetime!

We loved getting to make this special connection with Kristin and Chad, and it was most definitely a celebration to remember! We can’t wait till they’re back in Colorado again for a visit!
