Lindsay + Brandon’s Summer Wedding at Spruce Mountain

It was a gorgeous summer day at Spruce Mountain Ranch. Surrounded by incredible mountain views, Lindsay and Brandon became husband and wife and found every opportunity to love and serve their guests with an unforgettable experience.

When we arrived at Spruce Mountain Ranch, we couldn’t wait to see Lindsay and Brandon. After a super fun time celebrating their engagement in Rocky Mountain National Park, we knew today was going to be something very special.

Lindsay shared a toast of champagne and strawberries with her bridesmaids then got ready in the gorgeous bridal suite in the wedding cottage. Wearing the earrings her mom got from her dad in college, she headed out to spend a special moment with her dad.

Tears were shed and when Lindsay told her dad about the earrings, it took his breath away. Lindsay was then sweetly escorted by her dad to her first look with her future husband. It’s not something I had experienced before, but this meaningful moment had me in a mess of tears. Lindsay is truly one of the most thoughtful people I’ve gotten to know and this was the perfect example of her recognizing the significance of this moment both for her and for her dad as he “gave her away.”

Lindsay and Brandon took a deep breath standing back to back, and shared personal letters with each other before a private first look. It was a truly special moment that was made even better by the two sharing their dreams for the future and deep love for one another.

The wedding day can slip by so quickly, and the one regret we never want our couples to experience is that they just went through the motions. Yes, there’s a big celebration and yes you are entertaining hundreds of guests, but we hope our couples are able to also share from their hearts the meaning of the day and experience it to it’s fullest.

I always tell our couples when they’re afraid that their makeup will run, that they only get to experience these moments once. So don’t hold back and be willing to feel all the feelings and allow everyone know just how special they are to you.

Another wonderful way couples can let go of the to do’s and be free to live in the moment, is to work with a wedding coordinator. They really take the weight off your shoulders so you can be completely present on your wedding day. And with Brandi from Cheer’s Wedding Planning taking the reins, Lindsay and Brandon were at total ease, constantly saying, “I can’t believe how perfectly today is going.”

Heading uphill to the mountainside ceremony site, the couple took in spectacular views, as they stood under a pergola covered in florals by Petals Colorado. The ceremony was easily one of my favorite parts of the day, as Lindsay and Brandon were led through a meaningful service by Officiant Phil Gallagher. Phil is really really great at making the whole service feel personal and special; even the guests felt like Phil was a close friend. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fun and carefree wedding officiant.

After the ceremony we were able to whisk our couple away for some romantic portraits on the hillside overlooking the foothills. As guests finished up their drinks and appetizers from Broken Bones BBQ, Lindsay and Brandon were able to take a quick stroll through their reception at Alberts Lodge and then prepared for their grande entrance.

In a room filled to the brim with men and women who serve our country, including the groom, the best man chose to take a moment during his toast to acknowledge them all. Seeing them all standing across the room was such a humbling reminder of the sacrifice these soldiers and their families make every day. Some aren’t blessed with the opportunity to be at such important celebrations, and it was an honor to serve each of them that night.

A Music Plus did a great job of keeping the party out on the dance floor. With his charismatic energy he led the group in numerous dances and was a total blast to work with beginning to end.

Lindsay invited all of the dad’s to grab their daughters and join them on the dance floor during the father daughter dance. And of course following that, the son’s danced with their mothers along side Brandon and his mom. It was such a sweet moment that not many parents get to experience, and Lindsay and Brandon made room for it to happen.

I can’t say enough about all of the wonderful details and thoughtful moments shared during Lindsay and Brandon’s wedding day. As I said before, it really was perfect and we are so blessed to have been their to experience it all. These two are such a special couple and we wish them SO MUCH happiness.

And don’t miss the EPIC engagement session we shared on a frozen mountain lake with Lindsay and Brandon.

CONGRATS TO THE NEW MR. AND MRS.

We had the absolute honor of featuring the work of our friends at Mountain City Music on Lindsay and Brandon’s Wedding Highlight Film. Having their beautiful scores and soundtracks to compliment the emotions of this special day was such a gift. To learn more about their music, you can visit them on Spotify and Instagram.
