Hikes at Fish Creek Falls at sunset and picnics by the Yampa River for this spring Steamboat Springs engagement in the Colorado Rockies.

You can tell that a couple is going to be a dream to work with, when the first email you get from them says “I love your photography style as well as your background (A love of Jesus, Whiskey, and Tacos). It’s talking to me and my fiance’s heart!” And we couldn’t have been more right.

Getting to connect with these two has been such a blessing and their heart for a God centered marriage is inspiring. Of course it didn’t hurt that Terril and Jeremy could geek out on gear talk for a good portion of our time, but to be honest I think every groom we connect with loves hearing about the drone. 😉

Terril and Jenna’s love story is just the sweetest and is the most perfect example of God’s perfect timing. In a whirlwind of happenstance moments, these two passed each other like ships in the night. And one night everything came together after a fancy European picnic and lots of amazing conversation.

So when we began planning their romantic engagement session with us, the most important thing was that it took place in the town where they met, Steamboat Springs.

Steamboat has always been a favorite getaway for Jeremy and I, so we were more than eager to make this dream come true. With the colors of spring just a tiny bit behind, we arrived early to search for the perfect location. And as luck would have it, one of the locations we picked, just so happened to be the exact spot these two enjoy a picnics together every week.

So with a pop of the champagne and tons of laughs, we had the chance to share in a gorgeous evening along the Yampa River Trail.

But, when you ask us for adventure, we couldn’t possibly end our day there. So we took the couple up to Fish Creek Falls for some dancing on the trail at sunset. These two have an amazing passion for dancing together and also sharing this love with others.

Our favorite question to ask our couples did not disappoint and gave us such a beautiful glimpse into Jenna and Terril’s hearts. So when we asked what do you love most about each other? Here’s what they had to share:

“I absolutely love the way (Jenna) loves Jesus. Her patience with me radiates Jesus’ love, and grace. There isn’t a day that passes that she isn’t fighting for me to become a stronger man of God. And her beauty. Her eyes have a depth of beauty that speaks straight to my heart. Her heart has a beautiful compassion for helping others. And her physical presence far surpasses any beauty in nature. She’s a gift, and I’m so grateful to be blessed with her.”

“What I love most about Terril is his love for Jesus! He lives life with such a steadfast faith and hands open to whatever steps God has for him. I know with my whole heart he will lead our marriage and our future family with God in the center. Terril also has a contagious joy about him and simply lights up a room. The way he looks at me with those gorgeous blue eyes I know he loves me with an agape, selfless love. He makes every day an adventure. Terril truly loves me like Jesus does and I can’t imagine my life with anyone else.”

Jenna and Terril, you are so much fun to be around, and we are honored to be along for your journey to the alter. We can’t wait to celebrate with you two in July!
