Wedding at Bonnie Blues with Fall Boho Vibes

Let me take you on a heartwarming journey through Kyra and Ben’s unforgettable wedding at the stunning Bonnie Blues Event Venue in Elizabeth, Colorado. This November wedding was a dream come true, filled with warm, boho vibes that make our photography and videography hearts skip a beat.

The day began with Kyra and Ben getting ready in their respective cabins at Bonnie Blues. The bright light in this cozy cottage, set the stage for magazine worthy inspiration. With it’s tall vaulted ceilings, huge windows and inviting decor.

No wedding day can begin, without a little Chick-fil-A (a woman after my own heart)! Now with happy tummy’s the bridesmaids stepped out of the suite and Kyra began slipping into her breathtaking Madi Lane dress. With her look complete, Kyra shared a reveal with her bridesmaids who were overwhelmed by the emotion.

Just outside, on the porch, Kyra and her father shared a first look that had us all reaching for the tissues. The two spent a moment with happy tears on their cheeks as they hugged out what felt like a lifetime of love.

Late November weddings can be tricky to navigate with sunset around 4:45pm and golden hour around 4:00pm. With this very small window of gorgeous light, we encourage our couple’s to make the most of it by taking post of their portraits.

Kyra and Ben took a moment to share private letters with each other standing back-to-back. Pouring your heart out to your love, without seeing each other is quite the emotional ride. Which is why reading letters to each other back-to-back has to be one of my favorite wedding day moments. It allows the bride and groom to truly feel each and every word without distraction.

Waiting off to the side was the wedding party, easily entertained by the putting green and incredible views. The bridesmaids dazzled in Baltic Born dresses, embodying the rich, romantic hues of fall – think rust and copper.

As the sun began to set, the warm light came pouring in, which only enhanced the romantic boho vibes. Pompous grass lined the aisle, dried florals in the hands of the bridesmaids, and Kyra walking down the aisle glowing in the light.

Once the ceremony ended Kyra and Ben snuck away to a nearby hilltop to soak up the very last drops of sun. Overlooking the valley and mountains off in the distance, this restful moment captured the entire essence of the day. The warmth and love between Kyra and Ben was alluring, creating some of the day’s most memorable portraits.

Drawing us out of the romantic moment, were the aroma of meats and veggies tantalized everyone’s taste buds. Setting the stage for a delicious feast, Picnic Basket Catering got everyone’s tummy’s growling as they grilled right on site.

Guiding guests into the gorgeously decorated modern white farmhouse, Kyra’s creative skills shone bright with handcrafted decor.

The real star of the show had to be the tiered pie cake and pie bites from Legacy Pie Co. With the pie cut, Kyra and Ben invited guests to join them out on the patio for their first dance as husband and wife.

Under a sky of twinkle lights and the warmth of heated lamps, Kyra and Ben swayed, surrounded by love and affection from their guests.

Kyra’s surprise dance with her mom was a tearjerker. The pure emotion and love shared between them touched every heart, including mine.

The DJs beat dropped, the groomsmen transitioned to their “party sleeves,” and Kyra and her friends ruled the dance floor.

Outside, Ben and his friends enjoyed cigars, and guests gathered around the fire, sharing stories and sipping cocktails from Peak Beverage.

Bonnie Blues is a testament to love and legacy. The story behind the venue, named in honor of the owner’s grandmother, Bonnie, is deeply touching. Filled with thoughtful design and natural light, it’s a place where memories are made and cherished.

Walking through Bonnie Blues, you feel the presence of Bonnie’s legacy. The custom candles with a scent designed by the venue, the memories gracing the walls – it’s a space that embodies love and community, just as its founders envisioned.

Capturing Kyra and Ben’s wedding at Bonnie Blues was a dream. The venue’s beauty, coupled with the day’s boho chicness, made for an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to return for more celebrations.
