During a weekend of snowstorms, we adventured to Estes Park to celebrate the engagement of Kayleigh and Jacob. What’s so tricky about engagement sessions in the middle of winter in Colorado is that you can never truly predict what the weather will be.
The week leading up to our time together we had highs in the ’70s and then WHAM! A blizzard rolls in messing everything up. And when your couple is only in town together for that weekend, you have no choice but to endure the unexpected. This was the case for our mountain adventure with Kayleigh and Jacob.
These two met online when they were both 17 and after 5 years of dating, Jacob popped the question. Finding the love of your life when you’re in high school is rare nowadays. And after 18 months of living in different states, distance only made the heart grow fonder. So when Kayleigh returned from her mission, Jacob found himself in Utah ready to make it official.
Jeremy and I had so much fun playing in the snow with these two. And after taking a risk and rescheduling from the day before, we really lucked out with clear skies and warm temps. Which in Estes Park is saying a lot.
Knowing these two live in different states, made their sweet looks and long embraces that much more meaningful. Taking in every moment they have together till their wedding in just a few weeks.
Kayleigh and Jacob, we can’t wait to celebrate with the two of you at your wedding and hope these photos help to ease your time apart. Thank you again for trusting us with these important memories.
