Gabi and Jackson’s castle-themed wedding was a dream come true! With a beautiful blend of romance and enchantment, Dunafon Castle has to be one of the most unique venues we’ve ever seen. We were thrilled to have the opportunity to capture their special day and join the celebration.

With overcast skies and a slight chill in the air, it truly felt like fall had finally arrived! It’s been a minute since we’ve experienced a cold-ish wedding day, and we weren’t mad about it. The warm blankets and cozy fires around the property (we’re talking stone fireplaces in every room!) created the perfect ambiance for this fairy-tale wedding.

We love a good themed wedding, and Gabi and Jackson held nothing back! I mean, they were married at an actual castle! Gabi was stunning in her custom gown (credit goes to the mother of the bride!) Between the invitations, medieval banners, and so many nods to the Middle Ages, it felt like we were transported to another time period.

The guests arrived decked out in medieval elegance! They even signed the guest book using a feather quill pen. Gabi provided everyone with floral crowns so they could choose to fully immerse themselves in the experience.

The ceremony took place on an island, completely surrounded by a moat. Even the flower girl had her special moment riding in a “carriage” pulled by her parents! The bride and groom stood under an iron gazebo, illuminated by the glowing light of the chandelier. As the sun began to set, warm, romantic light filled the space.  

Following the ceremony, Gabi and Jackson made their way to the wine cellar. There, they enjoyed some appetizers and a few quiet moments alone after signing their marriage license, officially becoming husband and wife. 

Guests gathered on the castle’s rooftop during cocktail hour, warming by the fire and kicking off an epic celebration! The incredible team at Rocky Mountain Catering and Events (one of our favs) totally came through with the perfect food to complement the castle theme. For example, we all dined on tomato soup shooters, complete with tiny grilled cheese sandwiches pierced by miniature swords. Perfection! 

Stunning candles, florals, and glass cake stands featuring decadent cupcakes by Kupcake Konnoisseur adorned the tables. The talented Marty Nightengale was an entertainment wizard! He began by providing the most beautiful music on his guitar as the bride walked down the aisle. Then he completely switched gears, slaying it with guests on the dance floor later that night! With a mix of live vocals, guitar, and DJ skills, he provided the perfect balance of elegance and upbeat entertainment. 

We were so sad to see the evening come to an end! But the bride and groom made their exit in style, leaving through a glowing sword tunnel as they said farewell to their guests. Gabi and Jackson, it was an honor to be part of your special day. We’re wishing you a lifetime of happily ever after!
