A romantic and playful winter engagement in Estes Park for Lindsay and Brandon. With snow covered mountains and dancing on a frozen Lily Lake, we made the most of this Rocky Mountain National Park Adventure.
After meeting in college at the University of Cincinnati, neither of them were looking for a relationship, but after one night out, the two started dating and they’ve been together ever since.
Finding a mutual love for the outdoors and adventures, Lindsay and Brandon love exploring the mountains and hiking 14ers, and like true Coloradans they end each adventure with donuts or cookies. A well earned dessert if you ask me, especially for a girl who prefers baked goods over flowers, according to Brandon.
Taking every opportunity to escape to the slopes, it was on a recent ski trip to Beaver Creek, Brandon took Lindsay for an evening walk. Finding a romanic spot under a covered bridge, all covered in twinkle lights, it was there that he asked Lindsay to be his wife.
When we first met these two in Estes Park, we made our way to a beautiful overlook in the middle of town, and before I could even give direction, these two fell right into each other’s arms. Completely smitten with one another, capturing their love was so easy, and the best part was getting to share the day with their sweet dog, Layla, who couldn’t wait to bounce around in the snow.
After some fun playing in the snow, we ended our adventure at Lily Lake. And like a champ, Lindsay rocked red stiletto heels, as we delicately journeyed out onto the frozen lake. It was completely magical, ending with a pop of champagne to celebrate this amazing couple.
When I asked Lindsay and Brandon what they love most about each other, I didn’t just get a little sentence. I got an entire list, that I can’t help but share.
What he loves most about her:
“Her goofy smile when I make stupid jokes that actually aren’t funny. Her passion for not just fitness but for sharing her love of it with others. Her desire to learn and try new things, even if it pushes her out of her comfort zone. She will always listen to a friend in need, especially when they are going through a rough patch. Her cookie calculus, enough said. Her adventurous spirit that takes us both out into our beautiful home of Colorado. She’s tremendously beautiful (I am definitely the reacher and proud of it). And Her fat booty (thank God for squats).”
What she loves most about him:
“His kindness toward other people – especially our family and friends. His willingness to tell me something I cooked tastes good even if it’s terrible. That he pushes to achieve his (and our) goals and get the most out of life – we worked hard to get to Colorado and we’re so glad we did. I can’t wait to see what else we accomplish together! The way his face lights up whenever he’s having a super nerdy conversation about space or helicopters 🙂 That he’d rather call me than text me and has since the first week we started dating (this is something that made me know he was and is special). The way he looks in a suit (and his uniform). That he surprises me with Crumbl cookies and never judges me for how many I eat.”
I think the highlight of our time with Lindsay and Brandon was the end when Brandon surprised Jeremy with a patch for earning his FAA License. Such a thoughtful moment and it meant so much that they brought it along to help Jeremy celebrate his achievement. We sure love our BGP Couples. While we couldn’t fly the drone for their session, we are so looking forward to letting it fly at their wedding.
Working as an engineer for the Air Force, Brandon is preparing to deploy this fall, just after he and Lindsay’s late summer wedding in Pine, CO at Spruce Mountain Ranch and we can’t wait to be their to celebrate with them. Congrats again on your engagement you two!
