Sarah and Brode’s romantic fall engagement at Jessup Farm was filled with infectious belly laughs and strolls down paths lined with colorful tree’s; wine in hand. I’m not sure it gets any better that that.

I actually met Sarah and Brode a couple years ago, when Sarah needed some business headshots. We had so much fun snapping photos at one of my favorite spots, Sweet Heart Winery. And I’ll never forget the number of times she referenced her left hand needing something a little extra.

Well, fast-forward to 1 year later and that’s when Brode began his elaborate plan to surprise Sarah on the 4th of July… the next year. He had been working closely with Sarah’s best friend to make sure every detail of that week was planned out perfectly. So when Sarah (her BFF… same name) came into town for the week, the plan went into motion.

With her family gathered around the campfire, Sarah and Brode made their way out to the docks to snap a couple pics in front of the gorgeous sunset. It was then that Brode dropped to one knee and Sarah said, “no.” Wait. What? I promise the story doesn’t end there. It was just shock getting the best of her and of course she said, “yes,” when Brode actually asked her to be his wife. It’s this kind of crazy-fun-filled humor that makes these two so enjoyable to be around.

And as if one shoutout wasn’t enough. We have to give HUGE thanks to Emily of @LifeinNoCo for hosting a photography giveaway 2 months ago. And imagine my surprise when the winner of this contest was SARAH!!! I couldn’t wait when she let me know she was hoping to get some engagement photos taken.

So we started making our plans for a rustic ranch style engagement session at Jessup Farm Artisan Village in Fort Collins. This adorable farm has been reimagined and transformed into one of Colorado’s most popular farm-to-table villages. With an amazing coffee house, barber, brewery, galleries and restaurants, it’s worth a date night or two if you haven’t been before.

After our adventures around the farm, we found our way to Prospect Ponds for a sunset strolls with a bottle of wine. Turtle Pond was clear as glass, reflecting all the colors of fall. I swear the photos look like they should be on a postcard with these two all snuggled up by the water.

Sarah and Brode, as always it was a total joy getting to celebrate your engagement with you. And now that you have your wedding day and venue in place, have so much fun planning the day you’ll become man and wife. Congratulations!
