There’s no better location for a wedding than a charming ranch overlooking the majestic Rocky Mountains! The beautiful Flying Horse Ranch is nestled against the rolling hills of Larkspur, Colorado. This venue was the perfect backdrop for Amanda and Karl’s romantic summer wedding where a rustic barn aesthetic meets southern estate charm.

Not only was the venue spectacular, but the staff at Flying Horse Ranch went above and beyond to be sure Amanda and Karl’s wedding day dreams came true! Their attention to detail was unmatched, making the day fun and stress-free for everyone.

This was a destination wedding for many of the guests, which always adds to the level of excitement. However, they likely didn’t expect a rainy day as part of the experience! Thankfully, we were able to get pretty creative with family formals and wedding party portraits despite the rain, and everything went off without a hitch! 

Amanda is the epitome of a daddy’s girl, so it wasn’t surprising to watch as her dad paced the venue all morning, eagerly waiting to see her all dressed up on her wedding day. When the moment arrived, he turned to see his little girl standing before him in her wedding gown. The emotions that had been building all day came bursting through, and he was so overcome he had to turn around again to compose himself! Um, please pass the tissues!

Surrounded by her best friends, Amanda prepared for her big day in a stunning bridal suite that was nothing short of magical! Her flawless makeup was done by Heathyrre Kautz and Amy Dacosta completed her wedding-day-look with a gorgeous updo.

Amanda included so many personal touches from her adorable Betsy Johnson rhinestone sneakers with custom charms on the laces reading “MRS KLEIN” to a personalized denim jacket featuring her wedding date! Just before the ceremony began, Amanda’s bridesmaids gathered to pray over her, filling the room with a calming peace and contagious joy.

The wedding ceremony was so beautiful, reflecting the love Amanda and Karl share. After exchanging vows through joyful tears, they were finally introduced as husband and wife! The bride was so giddy with excitement you could tell she was finally experiencing the moment she had been dreaming of!

Following the ceremony, we were able to take some stunning golden-hour portraits. It was simply romantic watching the couple run through the fields and stroll along the white fence, all against a backdrop of rolling grasslands. And in a spectacular finale, the rain clouds lifted just in time for the dance party to take place under a canopy of twinkle lights. 

The reception was just as romantic, with beautiful centerpieces adorned with roses in soft shades of pink by Prive Event Design. It goes without saying that the daddy-daughter dance was filled with emotion and had EVERYONE in tears! There’s something so special about the relationship between this father and daughter, and it was such a blessing to witness their special moments throughout the day.

Words don’t adequately describe the love we felt watching the mother-son dance. As worship music played, Karl and his mom swayed to the music, squeezing each other and cherishing the moment. The joy was overwhelming as we watched Karl’s mom hug her son and then lift her arms to worship God. 

Family and friends soaked in the significance of the moment, realizing they were witnessing feelings of pure joy over answered prayers. The guests joined in, singing along in worship. It was yet another opportunity to celebrate this amazing couple and the blessing of their union.

As the evening came to a close, the newlyweds exited through gorgeous barn doors under a rainfall of confetti and loud cheers. It was the perfect ending to a spectacular day.
