I seriously love a good full-circle moment! This sweet engagement at Horsetooth just made my heart smile. Sara and Tyler’s love story is straight out of a Hallmark movie, and the romance factor is off the charts! 

Sara and Tyler’s moms have been best friends since they were in elementary school! Their parents had been friends for quite a long time, but when Tyler’s dad joined the military, the family moved away. 

Tyler was actually born in Panama, so he and Sara didn’t officially meet until many years later. When his parents moved back to Greeley, Tyler was already off to college in North Dakota. Eventually, the stars aligned during the summer of 2016. Sara’s family was spending the 4th of July at their lake in Nebraska, and Tyler’s family decided to join them. 

Although Tyler was working in South Dakota that summer, he randomly decided to make the drive to the lake for the weekend. That turned out to be one of the best decisions he ever made! 

They had always known about each other, of course. But that weekend was the first time they truly got to know each other. They hit it off instantly, and have been inseparable ever since. 

Their engagement was definitely a family event! Sara is currently living in Tennessee and attending PA school. The families took a trip to Tennessee for the weekend to visit Sara and to attend the NASCAR race. They all ended up renting an AirBnb in the Smoky Mountains. 

Plans were made to go to a Hatfield & McCoy dinner theater show that Friday night, which Sara was actually super excited about! As it turned out, Tyler “left his wallet” at the house so they all had to drive back to go get it. 

He went inside to get his wallet, and Sara’s parents suggested she go in to check on him. Tyler was waiting for her on the porch, with the beautiful Smoky Mountains in the background, and  asked her to spend the rest of their lives together. 

We always enjoy asking our BGP couples to describe what they love about each other. When we saw Sara and Tyler’s answers, we knew we had to quote them word for word. This couple is always laughing together, and we can’t think of a better quality to have in a marriage! 

WHAT HE LOVES ABOUT HER:

Sara is one of the most laid back and easy going people I have ever met. She laughs at all of my dad jokes and makes some of the best food ever. I bet she copies what I just wrote.

WHAT SHE LOVES ABOUT HIM:

Tyler is very easy going and go-with-the-flow. He laughs at all my jokes. He makes me feel like the most special girl there is. (I wrote mine first.)

The couple loves to hang out with their dog Rip and enjoy days on the lake. In fact, they went exploring in Tennessee with Rip when he was just a puppy, so he’s a lake dog for life! 

We had a blast getting to spend the afternoon with them at Horsetooth Reservoir for their engagement session. It might have been overcast, but these two lit the cliffs up with their infectious smiles.

Sara and Tyler, you have so many exciting adventures ahead, and we simply can’t wait to celebrate your wedding at Z Ranch Event Center next month! See you soon!
