We woke up to the most idyllic Colorado day for Katie and Eric’s Spruce Mountain Ranch wedding. I’m not exaggerating when I say the weather was absolutely amazing! It truly set the tone for a day that was filled with laughter, fun, and unforgettable moments. 

Katie and Eric are one of the most joy-filled couples we’ve ever known. It was an absolute honor to share this day with them and their amazing family! And of course, our hearts melted over every emotional moment.

Katie walked around in a constant state of awe and gratefulness. After waiting for 10 years, the day she’d been dreaming of had finally arrived! She was simply in shock that it was really happening! As she stepped into her gown, her beaming smile spoke a thousand words. 

Contagious smiles and laughter erupted when the bride shared a first look with her best friends. Then, she shared a special moment with the most important men in her life. Katie’s dad, stepdad, future father-in-law, and grandfather all took some time to just soak in the significance of the day with her. It was absolutely precious.

Her grandfather even presented Katie with a sixpence to put in her shoe as she headed out to exchange a first look with her future husband. It was such a beautiful gesture, reminding Katie of how much love and support she and Eric have from their family.

We had an absolute blast with their wedding party! When it was time for portraits, Katie and Eric made sure that moment would be as memorable as possible. So when the crew gathered, they turned around and “iced” them all! The shock on everyone’s face was priceless as they all dropped to a knee and chugged their Smirnoff Ice! 

The ceremony was held indoors in front of the most beautiful stone fireplace. Katie and Eric also incorporated a sand unity ceremony where they made the most beautiful promises to one another. Everyone was a puddle of tears! 

Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the patio for cocktail hour. They dined on delicious hors d’oeuvres and custom cocktails. It was such a thoughtful way to honor the guests and show appreciation for all their love and support. 

Once we finished with their portraits, Katie and Eric joined their guests for the reception. Upon being introduced as the new Mr. and Mrs., Katie and Eric stood under an explosion of confetti streamers as the place went wild! It was truly an epic celebration and we couldn’t get enough!  The musicians were phenomenal as the newlywed couple shared their very first dance as husband and wife. 

Guests were treated to a plated meal at the stunning candlelit reception. Everyone enjoyed sweet moments watching the couple get spoiled with beautiful toasts by their dads as well as members of their wedding party. 

Speaking of the wedding party, did I mention we had the MOST fun being around them!? When they were introduced for their grand entrance, the song “Thunderstruck” boomed through the speakers. They each entered the dance floor with a beer in hand, taking on the challenge of finishing their drink before the song ended. From that moment on, the dance floor stayed FULL! 

As the evening wound down, the bride and groom shared a private last dance with the people who made the entire day happen…their loving parents. It was something I’d never seen before, but I absolutely loved it. It was a beautiful moment to honor all the hard work that went into making the day so memorable.

We also have to give credit to Amy and the team from Cloud 9. They did a spectacular job keeping the day organized and all the details taken care of. It truly takes a village! 

Katie and Eric exited under a spray of cold sparklers surrounded by their friends and family. It was certainly the cherry on top of an incredible celebration! We’ve never felt so loved as a team, and we left that evening with huge smiles and full hearts. Katie and Eric, it was an absolute joy to serve you on your special day!
