Emily and Tyler’s Fall Spruce Mountain wedding proved to be a dream destination for their out of town friends and family. The combination of striking fall colors and time spent with cherished loved ones resulted in an unforgettable day!
Spruce Mountain holds beautiful significance for these two high school sweethearts. It’s not only their favorite hiking spot, but just a few months ago it was the location of their insanely romantic engagement!
Romance was certainly the theme of the day. The soft, romantic details of the bride’s gown were perfectly complemented by the bridesmaids’ champagne-hued dresses. Kimball Floral provided the most delicate, beautiful florals in shades of cream, white, and soft pink. Simply breathtaking!
However, the florals were nothing compared to the beauty of the bride and her wedding party! As always, Amy Dacosta did a stunning job with their hair and makeup. Radiant inside and out, these ladies were an absolute delight to photograph.
Emily shared the sweetest first look with her bridesmaids, as well as a special moment with her parents beneath a canopy of pine trees. The bride and groom chose not to have a first look, and it certainly made for an extra special moment during the ceremony.
We gathered just before golden hour, overlooking the majestic mountains at Trey’s Vista. The ceremony began with the bride making her grand entrance through a set of rustic barn doors. Our hearts melted as Emily finally appeared in full view of Tyler and all their loved ones. Obviously, his reaction was priceless! Tears glistened in his eyes as he took a moment to gaze with wonder at his beautiful bride.
Faith is the cornerstone of Emily and Tyler’s relationship, and their greatest desire was for God to not only be the center of their ceremony, but also their marriage. It was so special to witness how much the couple values their faith and family.
The bride’s uncle officiated the ceremony, while her grandfather led the couple in taking communion. As an added touch, they used an antique communion set that has been passed down through generations.
Brandi from Cheers Wedding played an instrumental role in making sure the entire day was incredibly organized and well planned. It was amazing to watch how she thoughtfully carried out all the details the bride and groom dreamed of for their day.
We always love to make sure our BGP couples take some time alone together immediately after the ceremony. We know it’s a moment they’ll want to remember forever! So during cocktail hour, we made our escape with Emily and Tyler to capture some sunset photos with them in their first few moments as husband and wife.
The spectacular display of fall colors in the mountains practically begged us to spend a little extra time in nature! So of course we lingered a bit longer at a nearby pond just soaking up the brilliance of the gold tones surrounding us. God certainly painted a masterpiece, and we were so thankful to be able to capture it for our sweet couple!
Back at the reception, David and his team from Rocky Mountain Catering were killing it! They created one of the most amazing spreads we’ve ever seen. Huge shoutout to the mashed potatoes!
And to top it off, the team later surprised guests with an actual cookie dough station! Everyone selected their flavor of choice as well as a few toppings, and the team then mixed them together “Cold Stone Creamery” style! If I wasn’t busy taking photographs, I could have camped out there all night. What a fantastic treat!
Nate from Seamless Entertainment did an excellent job emceeing and keeping the energy high for the reception. He also masterfully orchestrated a surprise flash mob involving the bridesmaids and a few *key* family members. Let’s just say, Emily’s jaw dropped to the floor in confusion as her mom led the way to the dance floor!
It was an honor to witness the bride and groom share a beautiful “anniversary” dance, welcoming guests of all generations to take a moment and reflect on a lifetime of love. In fact, we watched as the absolute sweetest couple found themselves sharing a private dance to the very song played on their wedding day so many years ago. I’m telling you, not a dry eye to be found!
We don’t take it for granted that we have the honor of sharing some of the most special moments in people’s lives. Emily and Tyler, spending time with you on your fairytale wedding day was such a gift! Enjoy every moment of your beautiful life together!
