Christmas Wedding in Estes Park The Boulders

Imagine a winter fairy tale set in the majestic Rockies of Estes Park, with The Boulders at Black Canyon Inn as the enchanting backdrop. This wasn’t just any winter wedding; it was a heartwarming Christmas celebration, and Jessie and Zach were at its center. Every moment felt like a scene from a beloved holiday movie, filled with warmth and love.

Our connection to Jessie stretches back to the days when she and her sister lit up the stage in our theater company. So, capturing her transformation from a vibrant performer to a radiant bride was incredibly sentimental for us. The day unfolded like a family reunion, filled with familiar, cherished faces and heartwarming embraces.

The morning buzzed with holiday cheer. Imagine the girls, all cozied up in festive Christmas sweatshirts, toasting with mimosas, the air filled with laughter and classic holiday tunes. It was like waking up on Christmas morning, full of anticipation and joy. Downstairs, the guys shared a relaxed, bonding moment, cueing up for pool and adding final touches to their attire.

Zach’s tender moment with his mom, as she tenderly helped him with his boutonniere, was a glimpse into their special bond.  Slowing time down on the wedding day to exchange moments like this is so important.

Jessie, in her breathtaking Vivienne Atelier gown, was nothing less than a vision of a winter princess. Shimmering in the light, her look was completed by her stunning bow in the back, a dazzling crown, and delicate lace gloves.

Taking in the mountain goodness, Jessie and Zach shared an intimate first look among the serene winter trees, kissed by the golden winter sun.  Standing back to back, Jessie and Zach first exchanged personal letters with one another.

As they turned to see one another, Zach’s jaw dropped and Jessie’s eyes welled up with tears.  This sweet moment allowed these two to embrace each other and reflect on the importance of this entire day.

Their ceremony was a magical winter wonderland. I was partial to the handsome officiate up front, who just happened to be my husband.  Jeremy had the honor of not only photographing the wedding with me, but also walking these two through pre-marriage counseling. This of course made the day even more meaningful to both of us.

Twinkle lights danced on the pine trees, and a Christmas tree adorned with thoughtful ornaments for each guest added a personal touch to the ceremony. The heartfelt vows exchanged just as the sun set behind the mountains was the cherry on top.

Making their grande entrance at the reception, Jessie and Zach’s moved quickly to the dance floor to share a perfectly choreographed piece. We were all left in awe, as if we’d stepped right into the finale of a heartwarming holiday movie.

With music being a cornerstone of Jessie’s family, the night was of course filled with soul-stirring performances. I was especially moved by the duet performed by her sister Madi and a heartfelt song by her father, which tugged at our heartstrings.

The playful cake-cutting, where the couple joyfully smeared frosting on each other’s faces, showcased their fun-loving and spirited relationship. A gorgeously decorated cake with white pine tree’s perfectly emulated their winter wedding. It was these moments of unbridled joy and genuine emotion that made the day truly unforgettable..

A surprise mother-daughter dance brought an unexpected joy, and as parents ourselves, Jeremy and I couldn’t help but envision our own kids’ future weddings. These moments always tug at our hearts, reminding us why we love capturing these precious memories.

As the night drew to a close with “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” we couldn’t help but feel a sense of joy and gratitude. Jessie and Zach, your wedding was a true reflection of your beautiful journey together. Thank you for letting us be a part of this remarkable chapter in your lives. Here’s to a future filled with as much love and happiness as your wedding day!
