Is there a better date night than snuggling up during a storm at your favorite brewery? For Anne and Eric’s engagement, we couldn’t help but celebrate with a round of drinks to kick out our time together.
When can you ever trust the weather forecast in Colorado? 9 times out of 10 it will show a huge storm rolling in, and it’s nothing but a few drops of rain. But when the forecast continues to change you end up playing a bit of Russian roulette with the weather, crossing your fingers and hoping you aren’t stuck waiting for the storm to pass. And although this spring storm did manage to stick around long enough to give us a scare, I’ve decided that all engagements with our couples will forever begin indoors. And there was no better place for us to begin this engagement adventure then at the Jessup Farm Barrel House in Fort Collins, CO.
It just seems like the most responsible thing to do. Starting your time together somewhere that can’t be effected by crazy Colorado weather. And it doesn’t hurt that you get to relax and enjoy an ice cold beer as you ease into your photo session. Though I’m more a wine and whiskey gal myself, I really do love the environment of a good ol’ Colorado brewery.
So when Anne mentioned that she and Eric enjoyed going to breweries, I thought this would be the perfect place to start our adventure together.
Speaking of adventures together, I have to give a HUGE shoutout to “Miss Anne,” to which our middle son so lovingly calls her. As she’s one of many rock star teachers who braved the end of the 2020 school year with a class of pre-schoolers learning online. Remote learning is hard enough and a task that no-one was prepared for. But Miss Anne did it with a wonderful team and continued to love and educate a class of squirrelly kiddos through a screen. She is such a gift.
After our time at he brewery with Anne and Eric, the rain let up and we made our way to the peaceful open space. Cause there was one part of this adventure that Eric was most excited about. His truck. And this night would not have been complete without some good ol’ snuggles in the back.
But in all seriousness, it really is so nice being outdoors with our couples and enjoy all that Colorado has to offer. Breweries, mountains, hikes and trails, every time we get to experience what makes our BGP Couples come alive, we know we are getting to glimpse into something that’s uniquely theirs. And in those moments we capture real life and real love. We’re count ourselves extremely lucky to work with some of the most amazing couples!
Congrats again Anne and Eric. We are so looking forward to your wedding day this summer!
