Mistaken identity led to an amazing friendship, love, and a beautiful family. When fate has plans of its own, you may discover your perfect future.
When you first meet Stephanie and Austin you are captivated by their joy. It’s truly infectious. In fact, on numerous occasions I shared with them how much I adore their chemistry as a couple. Perhaps we’re drawn to couples who laugh together all the time because it’s how Jeremy and I approach life. And when you see something familiar, you’re like a moth to a flame. Truly… if laughter is the best medicine, these two will never get sick of one another.

Jeremy and I first met Stephanie, Austin, and their sweet baby Theo at Loveland Aleworks for an initial meet-up and just immediately connected with them. After a bit of Facebook stalking admittedly, I learned that once upon a time (pre-baby) these two wanderlust adventurers had lived out of a school bus, traveling and soaking up as much life as they could. It’s funny how a baby can change things but in the best way possible. These two got engaged on the last day of their “baby-moon” backpacking through the Rawah Wilderness. (Can we just pause for a moment and talk about how hard-core Stephanie is at 5 months pregnant?). She thought it was a pregnancy announcement they were making with the GoPro, but instead, it was Austin’s proposal. And thus began their engagement.

Theo is just the sweetest “tiny human” you’ll ever meet. With his giant blue eyes and toothless grin, you’re captivated by him immediately. Seeing Stephanie and Austin as parents is truly inspiring. They work together as a team and are ALL IN with their Lil guy. He is the light of their lives and is the perfect complement to their dynamic. As first-time parents… these two are killing it.

So much so, that when Stephanie and I were discussing their engagement session, it just didn’t seem right to have photos that didn’t include Theo. But as you know, with family photos, having a youngster in the crew can mean making some adjustments on the fly. Be it the crazy Colorado weather or this sweet guy not feeling up to par, it took a few reschedules and location changes before we were able to finally make it happen. Hey. That’s life. And being parents ourselves, we know the struggle of pulling off family photos. But we did it. And it was absolutely PERFECT. The clouds and rain cleared just before our session and Theo was more than ready to flash those baby blues my way.

Because it was one-part engagement and another-part family session, we couldn’t just leave Theo to fend for himself. Fortunately, we had the baby whisperer with us on our outing. My hubby Jeremy is GREAT with kids. And when we wanted to take a moment and snap a few engagement photos of mom and dad, we needed the best in the business to keep Theo occupied. We couldn’t have done it without him.

Jeremy and I couldn’t be more excited to share in this adventure with Stephanie and Austin. Their wedding day is just around the corner and we know it will be the perfect ending and beginning to their love story. Thank you, Stephanie and Austin for bringing us on your journey to the alter.
