When Amber and Chad were planning their spring wedding, they knew that they wanted to keep things simple and focus on what was really important: their faith as the foundation of their marriage. And so, when they decided to tie the knot overlooking the Colorado mountains at Jubilation Ranch.
But before the ceremony began, there was one more moment that Amber and Chad wanted to share together privately. They had decided to do a first look, where they would have some quiet time alone together before all of the hustle and bustle of the day set in. So, while everyone else was busy getting ready for the big event, Amber and Chad found sanctuary in each other’s arms along the stream running through the property.
The ceremony was set to take place just before sunset, with the magnificent sandstone mountain range as a backdrop. Kirk Romberg of Mill City Church, the couple’s home church, officiated the ceremony. Guests were entertained with stories of how the two met, drawn in to the moments when they shared their feelings for one another and finally got engaged.
Jeremy and I feel it’s so important to reflect on where we’ve come from and what we’ve overcome in life. It makes us appreciate the present that much more. Oftentimes we’re just amazed by what God has brought us through and the blessings we get to experience because of it. Taking a moment during the ceremony to remember your love story, awakens your heart to feel the richness your future holds together. Standing in front of you is the person you get to keep building those dreams with and that’s pretty powerful stuff.
Surrounded only by their families and closest friends, Amber and Chad read their vows to each other under a canopy of flowing white fabrics and vines. It was an incredibly beautiful and moving moment, one that left tears in everyone’s eyes.
As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of working at venues all across Colorado. And I can honestly say, that I was amazed by the stunning property at Jubilation Ranch. The stream flowing through the property supported the tall tree’s, arching over the water. Wooden bridges, blossoming tree’s, the southwester flare of the sandstone rocks, it was a creative’s paradise. With so many photographic locations, I can’t wait to come back in the summer, fall and winter to witness Jubilation‘s beauty in the various seasons.
I also want to point out how nice it was working with the owners of Jubilation Ranch. They were incredibly hospitable, from our first email interaction to their servant hearts when we arrived on site. You can tell how much they love sharing this incredible space with people.
Hair and Makeup was styled by the amazing Chaundra Revier of Glam5280. Chaundra is easily one of my favorite people to work along side her on the wedding day. She’s organized and communicates before the wedding day to make sure we have a great timeline. And is so much fun to have in the getting ready suite, not afraid to start a conversation, helps with random tasks when needed and really see’s the day as she’s part of a team.
Following the intimate ceremony, guests were invited to a cocktail hour and dinner at Cafe Vino in Fort Collins. After a few more portraits, Amber and Chad joined the celebration and ended the night with a special first/last dance. The song they danced to was a surprise for the groom, as Amber made her way into Chad’s arms, her voice was heard on the recording introducing the song she recorded for him.
This special day was overflowing with special moments that made the memories that much more meaningful. It wasn’t just about going through the motions, but making each part of the have purpose. We send all our love to Amber and Chad and wish the all the happiness in the world. Congrats on your beautiful union.
