There are times when we just sit back in awe of the beauty of summertime in Colorado. Kaitlyn and Joshua’s gorgeous summer garden wedding was bursting with vibrant colors! Love radiated between these two as they exchanged vows at the beautiful Brookside Weddings & Events in Berthoud, Colorado.

Kaitlyn and Joshua have such a sweet love story, and it all began at Costco. (I mean, doesn’t Costco make all of us just a little bit happier!?) The two started out as co-workers, and after Kaitlyn made it obvious she was interested (constantly staring awkwardly at someone will do that), they began dating. 

Fast forward to Christmas Eve of 2021. Kaitlyn arrived at Joshua’s house to find a trail of rose petals leading up the stairs to his room. She found him standing there in the middle of a rose petal heart, surrounded by twinkle lights. 

He had a sweet little speech written on a sticky note because he was so nervous! Getting down on one knee, Joshua asked Kaitlyn to marry him. It was the most romantic, intimate moment and just perfect for the two of them.

Knowing the details behind their love story made it so exciting to arrive on their wedding day, ready to celebrate their marriage! 

Kaitlyn and Joshua each got ready in their individual suites at Brookside. 

The champagne was flowing as the bride took a stroll with her sisters, glasses in hand, to soak in the beauty of the gardens. Kaitlyn was stunning in her fitted dress from Amanda’s Bridal, and her hair was perfect. It was so special knowing her very talented sister, Alyssa, took credit for styling such an elegant updo! 

Jeremy had a blast keeping Joshua entertained as the two of them enjoyed the groom’s suite while Joshua got ready in a classy gray suit from Men’s Wearhouse.

Before the ceremony, Kaitlyn and Joshua exchanged private letters and shared an emotional first look under the canopy of flowers.

The intimate ceremony was held outside in the gardens as the warm light of the sun flooded the space. We were surrounded by vines cascading over a pergola, creating a stunning tunnel entrance for the bride. 

Brides, if you’re looking for a show-stopping entrance that allows you to take everything in, this venue definitely delivers! As you come down the stairs from the bridal suite, you’ll enter into a romantic tunnel of vines leading you right to your waiting groom. It’s truly breathtaking.

Kaitlyn and Joshua exchanged vows and took part in a unity ceremony with a cord of three strands. This is a beautiful way to symbolize the love between God, husband, and wife. It represents the strength of a marriage when God is at the center.

One of the highlights of the day was definitely golden hour portraits. There was a warm glow surrounding the property which we took full advantage of! Taking photos of the couple by the waterfall and along the stream was the perfect bookend to a beautiful ceremony.

The reception was so much fun, and Suit and Tie DJs did an outstanding job of keeping the dance floor full as the sun began to set outside. I think the glow of the evening sunlight beaming in through the windows has to be one of my favorite parts of this venue! 

Just before we left for the night, Kaitlyn and Joshua opted for a controlled exit. This is an opportunity for the couple to get some last minute photos of just the two of them before the photo and video team coverage ends for the evening. We loved getting to take these last few romantic photos outside, surrounded by twinkle lights.

Finally, the DJ launched into a conga line dance, which was such a clever way to get everyone outside for some exit photos surrounded by a tunnel of bubbles! After that, everyone followed the bride and groom back inside, keeping the dance floor hopping well into the night. 

Kaitlyn and Joshua, we still smile every time we think of this gorgeous day! Sending you so much love and wishing you a lifetime of happiness!
