What better way to welcome our newest Colorado residents than with a destination wedding at Spruce Mountain Ranch. Alyx and Amit’s multi-day celebration was filled to the brim with welcome parties, evening cocktail hours, and even a post-reception after party back at the hotel.
I have to say, if I ever decide to move, I need to throw a HUGE celebration to introduce all my friends to my amazing new home. Alyx and Amit officially moved to Colorado just days before their big day and brought along their incredible friends and family from all over the world.
Jeremy and I made our way to Centennial the moment the couple landed at their hotel for a quick little hang out and engagement session to help get rid of those camera shy nerves before the wedding. I can’t say enough about how glad I am we did this. It really helped break the ice even more and allowed us to walk into the day like friends, not strangers.
The week kicked off with many beautiful Indian wedding traditions and ceremonies, a blog for another day. Jeremy and I did get to join them for some of these special moments, and I have to say it was wonderful to experience the love and devotion this family has for one another and their faith.
Amy and her team from Cloud 9 worked tirelessly and joyfully as they pulled together all the dreams and wishes for Alyx and Amit’s boho chic wedding, creating a gorgeously whimsical event that fell in place seamlessly. A standout was the “Sip and be seated” table where guests could find a champagne flute with a gold coin on the rim to guide them to their seat.
The bride’s father handmade wedding favors for guests, and as everyone found their way to their tables, on each place setting was a beautiful dish with a personalized match box.
Biscuits and Berries Catering truly never disappoints with their creative and innovative ways of serving up incredible food. They kept bellies full with a delicious spread of both classic dining favorites like roasted chicken and traditional Indian cuisine. But that’s not all. As the night went on they filled the tables with yummy late night snacks like grilled cheese and tomato soup (a personal fav).
I couldn’t have a blog post about this wedding however, without bragging on the incredible work of CV Flowers. She brought to life Alyx’s dream of a gorgeous baby’s breath chandelier installment for the reception. Not to mention the stunning ceremony florals that lined the aisle and the gorgeous floral arch beneath the large willow tree. Her designs were a work of art and such a spectacular focal-point for the day.
Did I mention Alyx and Amit like to dance? In fact music has always been a major part of their relationship, from first dates at underground electronic shows to countless music festivals like Lollapalooza and Coachella.
So for this music loving couple, DJ Rex from Discosapien kept the beat going all night with a full dance floor and drinks flowing from Peak Beverage. On a beautiful summer night, I don’t think it gets better than dancing under the stars with a canopy of string lights overhead.
Working side by side with some of the best wedding professionals in the industry was a true honor. I LOVED serving our couple with a day they will never forget.
Alyx and Amit, you two are amazing and I’m secretly thrilled that you moved to Colorado. I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you both do on this new adventure and wish you the very very best as husband and wife. Congratulations and thank you again for including us in your beautiful celebration.
