Mandy and Nick are the perfect examples of two people finding their forever through the day and age of online dating. Connecting through Match.com, these two conquered dating across the country, buying their first home and even adding an addition to the family when they adopted Orvil, a Star-Pei/Bull Mastiff.

These two were more than ready to say I do. So what better way to celebrate this love story, than to get married at Dunafon Castle; a spectacular property just outside Morrison, Colorado. This romantic Celtic inspired castle is nestled just up the canyon and feels like you stepped right into a storybook. With it’s landscaped hillside of trails for guests to wander, and streams that surround the ceremony site, the property feels like a dream. As fall leaves fell all around, I couldn’t help but stop and soak up the wonder of this majestic place. Mandy and Nick shared this special day with guests from all across the country, California, and Wisconsin to name a few. All of whom stood amazed at the beauty Colorado has to offer.

Getting ready for the ceremony to begin, this football-loving family made it a priority to have some important games on in every room. The castle was filled with cheers and… not so happy cheers, as two of the couple’s favorite teams each competed that day. We won’t discuss the outcome of those events, and just keep our focus on the big WIN for the day… Mandy and Nick!

Mandy was over-the-moon to get into her wedding dress, and who wouldn’t be. Once she stepped into that gown, you could see the realness of the day coming across her face. Surrounded by some of her closest friends and family, Mandy was simply exquisite in her Maggie Sottero gown.
And let’s not forget the groom who held his own in a handsome Navy suit from Men’s Warehouse. The weather forecast predicted a snowstorm at the exact time the ceremony was to begin. But, in true Colorado fashion, the storm made it’s grande entrance just as the reception came to a close. It’s true what they say if you don’t like the weather in Colorado, wait 30 minutes. The weather was absolutely spectacular; a truly beautiful fall day for a wedding.

As the ceremony began, you could feel the anticipation in the crowd as they eagerly awaited the moment this sweet couple would see each other for the first time that day. With all the busyness of preparing, the one thing that brings peace is seeing your other half at the end of the aisle. The whole reason you are there and the only thing you truly care about. Everything comes into focus and you know it was all worth it. Both the bride and groom were a ball of nerves till they saw each other and suddenly the room disappeared.

As the bride and groom found refuge in each other under the rays of a setting sun, Pastor Ron did a beautiful job leading a heartfelt ceremony. And it wouldn’t have been authentically Mandy and Nick if they didn’t throw in a little curveball; sharing a bowl of cereal together as a symbol of their unity. It was silly and creative and shined a light on their adorable friendship.

As the couple snuck away to the wine cellar to sign their marriage license, the guests enjoyed delicious treats from A Spice of Life. Opting for a meal of small bites, the caterer did an amazing job delivering the perfect mix of fall treats; like mini grilled cheese and tomato soup with chicken and biscuit sliders. I was equally impressed by how the catering team took such good care of the bride and groom while they got ready that day. Bringing them charcuterie boards and other yummy snacks to hold them over.
The tables were decorated by dear friends, with games of Yahtzee (the couples first date), and stunning purple floral arrangements by Stems, A Flower Shop.

As the sun began to set, Mandy and Nick enjoyed a peaceful moment under the gazebo for a truly magical first dance. From there the guests took to the dance floor and partied all night on the roof of the Dunafon Castle.
Douglass and Sabrina of DJ Matau, hosted the party with great music, keeping the whole night running smoothly. Guests enjoyed late-night snacks around the giant fireplace and found amazing little nooks around the property to warm up and relax.

Nick’s sweet mother, Pat, shared with me a very special gift she created for the couple just before we left for the night. A beautiful bowl filled with wood chips she had collected from family and friends. Each chip with a sweet message of encouragement, advice, and love for Mandy and Nick. It was such a thoughtful gift that I just know they will cherish for years to come.

To Mandy and Nick, enjoy looking back at this special day together. Sharing moments the other didn’t get to see and reflect on how very loved you both are. We hope you both look back at these photos for years to come, sparking memories of a day that you couldn’t imagine loving each other more. Jeremy and I wish you the most amazing marriage filled with laughter, memorable moments and a few games of Yahtzee.
