Sydney and Gabe’s engagement shoot at Sweet Heart Winery gave us the perfect opportunity to just take a deep breath and slow down, even as we’re kicking off wedding season. 

Every time we find ourselves at this amazing venue, we immediately go into relaxation mode. It always feels like we’re right at home! This gorgeous setting just checks all the boxes for us.

Nestled alongside the Big Thompson River, Sweet Heart Winery is like no other. With a large grassy field surrounded by tall trees and mountain views, it makes an amazing location for photos! And obviously…there’s the wine. 

We loved every minute of spending the day here with Sydney and Gabe! They are the absolute cutest, and we shared so many laughs throughout the day. 

It also didn’t hurt that they brought their brand new puppy, Stella, to share in the festivities.  Puppies during an engagement session really are a lot like toddlers, so there’s a lot of watching what they put in their mouth and making sure they don’t stroll into the raging river.  But having this sweet girl with us made the entire session incredibly fun.

Pre-Stella, Sydney and Gabe met on the dating app Bumble just over 4 years ago. It wasn’t supposed to be anything special initially, but isn’t that how some of the greatest stories begin!? After only a few short months, they were seeing each other exclusively. So much for “nothing special!”

The two got engaged over Labor Day weekend when they went on a weekend trip to Fraser. The day started with an early morning hike up to Devil’s Backbone. When they reached the top, they stood in awe of the stunning views of the valley and lake below. Gabe proposed at that moment, making it such a romantic and special memory! To top it all off…the weather was absolutely perfect! 

We can’t stop smiling when we hear these two share what they love most about each other! 

Gabe said, “I love everything about Sydney, but she has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know. She’s simply amazing!”

Sydney added, “Gabe is so goofy! I love that we balance each other out. We can be very serious and we can be VERY silly. Gabe always knows how to make me laugh.”

Sydney and Gabe, we can’t wait to come right back here in October to celebrate your wedding back at Sweet Heart Winery! It was so much fun hanging out with you…and Stella!
